Join the Nellsar family

Nellsar has been a family-run company since 1988 and we provide exceptional care for over 600 residents across our group of 13 Care Homes in Kent, Surrey and Essex. We consistently strive to achieve the highest standards of professional and personalised care, and we do that by taking care of our staff first.

Without our committed care teams, we couldn’t do what we do and that’s why we place so much emphasis on listening to our staff and providing a supportive workplace. Everyone who works in a Nellsar Care Home is an important part of the Nellsar family, each playing a vital role in providing the best possible care to our residents.

Benefits and rewards

It takes compassion and courage to care for others. We understand that while choosing to work in a Care Home may not feel like the easiest career path at first, it can be extremely rewarding. Nellsar Care Homes offer great packages to ensure our staff feel secure and supported in their role, with added benefits too.

A work-life balance is important for all of us, and we offer flexible hours and shift patterns to suit individual needs. Some of our Care Homes can provide transport to and from work if you need it, subsidised meals for your lunch breaks, and well-being services including a massage for your birthday!

Why Choose Nellsar?

A heart-warming introduction to Nellsar Care Homes. As a family-run business, we pride ourselves in creating a fulfilling and enjoyable continuation of life for all our residents. In this short film you’ll discover our care ethos, meet some of our team and hear from relatives who have entrusted us to care for their loved ones.

A special thank you from Nellsar

For World Poetry Day 2021, Nellsar Care Homes would like to thank everyone for their endless support throughout what has been one of the most difficult times in recent history. We couldn’t have predicted the COVID-19 pandemic and we are overwhelmed by the resilience of our staff and our relatives’ understanding through the challenges we have faced. We are so grateful to our local communities who generously donated their gifts and services; but most of all, we want to thank our residents for facing these changes with us and for keeping us smiling.

Our Testimonials

Our health and well-being

The physical health and mental well-being of all Nellsar’s residents and staff is paramount. Vaccination against COVID-19 offers everyone the best protection against the virus. Nellsar recognises the continuing risk of COVID-19 and has processes to manage and mitigate the risk to residents and staff.

From 15 March 2022, staff members will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination status or proof of valid exemption. However, all staff on commencement of employment (and ongoing), will be advised of all available immunisations and recommended to ask their GP to immunise them if the risk assessment indicates they would benefit from doing so.
