Join the Nellsar family
Nellsar has been a family-run company since 1988 and we provide exceptional care for 600 residents across our group of 13 Care Homes in Kent, Surrey and Essex. We consistently strive to achieve the highest standards of professional and personalised care, and we do that by taking care of our team members first.
Without our committed care teams, we couldn’t do what we do and that’s why we place so much emphasis on listening to our team members and providing a supportive workplace. Everyone who works in a Nellsar Care Home is an important part of the Nellsar family, each playing a vital role in providing the best possible care to our residents.
A shared Nellsar culture
We are extremely proud of the caring, supportive culture in our Care Homes which embodies empathy, equity, professionalism and continuous improvement. Our values focus on the individual – from residents to team members – creating an inclusive environment with both residents and team members at the heart of what we do every day.

Benefits and rewards
It takes compassion and courage to care for others. We understand that while choosing to work in a Care Home may not feel like the easiest career path at first, it can be extremely rewarding. Nellsar Care Homes offer great packages to ensure our team members feel secure and supported in their role, with added benefits too.
A work-life balance is important for all of us, and we offer flexible hours and shift patterns to suit individual needs. Some of our Care Homes can provide transport to and from work if you need it, subsidised meals for your lunch breaks, and well-being services.
Building for the future
Nellsar invest in the very best training resources to help support our team members and develop their skills. We offer a wide variety of induction and training programmes including fully funded apprenticeships and health and social care qualifications.
We provide specialist training for supporting clinical skills and knowledge, leadership and management and senior level development opportunities. We also support overseas Nurses applying to become Registered Nurses through the NMC’s OSCE programme.
Our dedicated Learning and Development Manager is passionate about sharing their knowledge with caring individuals who are willing to develop themselves to improve the quality of lives of our residents.

Our Testimonials
Our health and well-being
The physical health and mental well-being of all Nellsar’s residents and team members is paramount. Vaccination against COVID-19 offers everyone the best protection against the virus. Nellsar recognises the continuing risk of COVID-19 and has processes to manage and mitigate the risk to residents and team members.
From 15 March 2022, team members will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination status or proof of valid exemption. However, all team members on commencement of employment (and ongoing), will be advised of all available immunisations and recommended to ask their GP to immunise them if the risk assessment indicates they would benefit from doing so.
